Bates College survey

Bates College in Lewiston and Gallup released findings Wednesday from a national survey examining the role that purpose plays in the work lives of college graduates. The report of views of more than 3,000 respondents found that 80% of college graduates say it is important to derive a sense of purpose from their work, but less than half succeed. Bates College President Clayton Spencer said closing that gap is a task colleges must take on for the future well-being of their students.
