Straw poll shows strong support for new Edward Little HS in Auburn

Auburn voters support the new Edward Little High School. In a straw poll, they voted 197-12 to build the $126 million high school on the site of the old school. The 280,000 sq. ft. facility would have room for 1,100 students. Auburn voters would be required to pay for $16 million in amenities through a tax increase; those amenities include a performing arts center and an athletic complex. The proposal will still go to referendum in June, when it could become official. The school is slated to open in 2023.
